Visualizing every pass, shot, and goal of the 2010 World CupThis piece was designed before these matches were actually played, ready for data to be plugged in on the fly. It was created for Umbro's blog, then distributed as a limited edition print.

For a brutally detailed case study of the creation of this infographic, see my interview with visualisingdata.com.

Interactive data visualization toolDesigned for GE's Ecomagination site, this interactive visualization allows you to calculate the energy consumed by common household appliances. The grid of icons resorts according to the parameters you select, one of which includes turning measures of energy consumption into appliance-specific, relatable units of usage.

Working from an open design brief, this piece was entirely researched and authored with—and under the direction of—Lisa Strausfeld, with the brilliant Hilla Katki, and development by Adam Suharja.

For five of the appliances, you can calculate the approximate time it would take to recoup the cost of purchasing an Energy Star replacement.

Fastcompany.com "Infographic of the Day," two-part seriesThis interactive piece and its static companion were built to be updated and posted on the fly, within minutes of Apple's announcement of the iPad, when the rumors could finally be vetted.

Both designs play with an accelerating magnification of time scale.

Typogram proposed for Melbourne, Australia bandDescribed as sounding like a mix between M.I.A. and the B-52's, this band listed a number of potential reference images that borrowed from 50's nostalgia. Based on their sonic fusion of past and present, I extracted some 50's spirit from vintage chrome car lettering and neon diner signs and tried adding a zap of retro futurism.
